Just to see how he's doing. We kept in touch for years after we broke up. We stopped talking after he found out I was settling down and having a baby. We haven't talked in 4-5 years. Should I call him up?

If it's just talk, nothing wrong with that. You're settling, you're having a baby, I don't think you need to worry about letting all that go over one phone call. Go for it.

i did that before and my motive wasnt to get back with this guy but if the subject had come up i might would be open to it again depending on how life was going for him. plus i did actually want to know how he and his family was doing. deep down you really think about getting back with that person just for old times sake. if this is what your motive is then try it. but if you already have life established with someone else i would leave the ex alone. thats asking for trouble and messing a possible friendship up.

Absolutely not if you are happily married or in a good relationship. Even if you're alone and looking it's better to start with somebody else. You already know it won't work with your ex.

if my ex looked as good as you, i would LOVE a call from you. what is the worst that can happen, he hangs up on you. no big deal. wouldnt it be beter to try then to wonder "what if" forever!!! good luck!!!!!
