Giving as an act of Worship: We give God our time because He is the Worthy One of Eternity; We give God our selves because He is the Worthy One of the One Sacrifice; We give God our service because He is the Worthy One of empowerment; We give God our finances because He is the Worthy One of all Value; We give God our voice because He is the Worthy One of the Eternal Word. (Supporting activity: Song - Here I am to Worship).

Hi there :-)
The first thing to do before preparing for worship is to pray. Sit together with your friend and pray for sometime. Sense what God puts on your heart. As you pray, maybe you sense the love of God, maybe his faithfullness, maybe his goodness...so this would be your theme for worship. So you could pick your songs accordingly.Always remember that to lead worship in a gathering should not be about picking the perfect songs, saying the perfect words...it should not be about having a performance for the crowd. it should be what truly comes out of you're heart for God. Coz as worshippers when you lead, what you say out of genuineness will create an atmosphere for the glory of God to come. The same will be felt by the people.
About an activity that supports it.....for example if your theme is faithfullness....you could make everyone sit in a circle and hand out a paper to each one. On one side ask them to write how many times they prayed this last week. now,on the other side,Ask them to write any of their experience during the past week, where they felt God helped them, or encouraged them, showed them kindness, or they felt Gods love etc. it could be anything small too. and after they have finished ask each one to read it out.....this would make the session more interactive. So as each one reads about what God did for them....everyone will be encouraged and faith will be built. After all have read, you could sum it up by just saying a few words in the end about how God is always faithful no matter what we do, how busy we are and however unfaithful we might be:-)
Hope this helps....:-)

With it being the eve of Lent, I would suggest any of the things that Jesus did during the time frame up until his death.
Why don't you pick three different parts from the gospels that you and your friend like as a starting point. From there, thinks of something hands on which could support it. I have a couple of ideas for you, but don't know how large of an audience you will have or how long you'll need to go.
Shoot me a message if you are interested.

What is worship to you? In Romans 12, it talks about our spiritual act of worship--being a living sacrifice. In Revelation 4, it talks about heavenly worship. But if you are to prepare it for a class, you need to figure out what worship is to you. That idea that comes to mind first can be your worship thought. Music, dance, poetry, sermon. No matter--- it is what you define it as.

How about all the ways God makes himself known in the world today and through the ages. Like in nature with butterflies (caterpillars then the beautiful butterflies) or flowers, the most beautiful roses have the sharpest thorns and roses that are gorgeous but, have no odor etc. See if they can list all the things. You might get some wonderful meditations and surprising revelations from people.

Consider the age range in your class. Then decide what worship songs you would sing in class. Just pray about it and ask the LORD to speak to each and everyone of you. He'll help you ;) God bless!

The Almighty YHVH set up a system. He sent His “Son” YAHOSHUA to die for the sins of mankind so they would not have to. (They could choose to, but did not have to). Any person who chooses not to allow Yahoshua to take care of their sins, chooses to remain attached to their sins. They thus will wind up in the lake of fire which is YHVH’s method of cleaning this world, and eliminating sin and sinners. The Creator set aside the Seventh day for rest and worship. Yes that is the day usually called “Saturday”. We are not saved by obedience, we are saved by faith. However we are saved FOR obedience. As He said in John 14:15 (and in many other places) “If you love me, keep my commandments.
Churchianity is a pagan religion. The only thing that will change a person is the indwelling savior Yahoshua. Obviously that is rare in this sinful world.

@ Vincent: properly that is not unbiblical to bypass to confession--Jesus says to admit and repent it truly is what confession is. before the beautiful English Protestants bumped off the Apocrypha from the Bible sometime contained in the Reformation, there replaced right into a e book in it (nevertheless contained in the Catholic Bible and that i trust the Torah) Maccabees, that talks about Purgatory. they are praying for the souls in Purgatory. Is that such an evil ingredient, attempting to assist the souls get to heaven?
