I have two budgies, and we give them Wheat Bread, corn, broccoli, peas, cooked beans, cooked rice, cooked pasta, shelled unsalted peanuts, apples (stay away from the seeds they have toxins, and avacados) oranges, carrots, plain cheerios, (you can roll them in peanut butter, and put seed on them, they love it!) You can also give them yams, spinach, lettuce, eggs, tuna (in water) and well cooked meat. Be sure to stay away from dairy. Birds can not digest it, and they can die. They are very lactose intolarant.

They love plain cherrios. There yummy for the birds and cheap to buy. Put a bunch on a string and tie it to the side of their cage. The birds will have a blast! Not frosted ones though! The high suger amount can make the birds sick. Oh, and verry small chunks of apple is good too.

My budgie absolutely loves apple and bread/toast crusts. maybe yours would to. have you ever seen those seed treats? you can get them in various shapes and sizes. Most budgies love them. Also try celery and millet spray.if you take seeds from the millet spray and plat it in the ground, you can grow them yourself! But whatever you do. never give them avacado or dairy. it can kill them.

My budiges have all LOVED carrot (my white budgie gets stained orange when she eats carrot, it’s adorable) broccoli, apple, oranges, unsalted raw almonds, fresh Banksia leaves from our garden (especially if they have the seed thingies on them), banana, pears… ect.

Blue berries are my favourite treat to give my birds though. The birds LOVE them, and they’re easy to hand feed.

I give mine shivery grass. That is what my nanna called it but I think its a type of lawn grass that has tiny seeds in spring. They also love dandelion leaves and flowers and milk thistle, also known as St. Mary's Thistle. You could also give them a pine cone to gnaw on for fun, they might even get a seed or two from it. Best wishes.

You should buy one of those spray millets or honey treats. Just hang it on the side of the cage, and your parakeets will love it!
