Your local VA office can usually expedite the process too. I'm kinda lucky in that my VA rep is my best friend from high school.

Also you might try The Naval Reserve Personnel Center because the handle all records of Naval and Marine personnel who leave the service....Or you can try the National Personnel Records Center

The Army has iPERMS which contains your entire military record accessible from AKO. I know the Marines have the same deal under a different name which I'm not sure of. I would start online and see what you can find through the Marines. Thanks for your service.
