Does the wall have wallpaper on it? If so there might be mold behind it and your dog is smelling it and staying away from it.

#1 She may be ill and is not eating because she doesn't feel good. A visit to the vet might be in order.

#2 There may be something wrong with the food. It may have spoiled or sometimes there can be a bad batch where the ingredients are off. Happened to me once. Got a new bag and pup ate just fine.

My dog did the same thing last year right before Christmas, I must have went crazy thinking I was about to lose my baby. I took him to the vet and she said that nothing was wrong they ran all kinds of test, took his blood and came back with nothing. 2 days later he was back to his normal self. To this day we don't know what was wrong.

she must have depration (however you spell it).

Or, you said 8 years. That's kinda old for a dog. She's 80 years old in doggy years!
Dogs tend to change quite a bit by then.
Perhaps she likes another place to eat. You just have to know where she likes to spend her time in, then that's where you feed her.

Best of luck!
