they think it might be the computer so they are going to replace it, what do you think?

I think maybe you aren't going to really good mechanics, sorry. If they thought it was a computer, they would have tested that pretty quick because they could make a pretty penny off it. It doesn't take that long to check it. They also have to check the spark, the fuel, etc. I am not a mechanic, but even I know that.

You need to give more info like symptoms, engine codes, does it have fuel pressure, does it have the computer trying to inject fuel in the motor, spark also? ....

Also before replacing the PCM, have they replaced the EEC power relay and fuel pump relay..two relays that can mimic a bad PCM?

i own a repair shop,and on those cars it could be anything from a fusible link to a burnt wire to the computer, i have seen a lot with those cars before,i seen one once that had had the radio changed ,and the guy cut one wrong wire,and it wouldn't start,so nothing they tell you is going to surprise me,i,ll be interested in whats making this one not run,it may be something new from what i have seen,good luck,i hope this help,s.

does it crank is there spark is there fuel?
