With my first baby, it was like a slap in the face. When you are pregnant, your belly goes with you everywhere and there is no work involved. But once that precious little bundle of joy comes into the world..... OMG! You have to feed her, change her, burp her, bathe her, rock her, hold her, cuddle her, coo at her, smile at her, look lovingly upon that sweet little precious face! It is such a wonderful experience, and it is very exhausting!
Oh, by the way, I have 5 of those bundles of joy, and I AM EXHAUSTED!

Quite a bit. Please click on the link and review my response to another question. I would supplement that response by saying, even though I love my daughter and look forward to my next child, that doesn't mean that it's all peaches and cream. Sometimes, she frustrates me beyond belief when she gets on a roll and pushes my buttons. Sometimes I miss the good old days when it was just my husband and me, and that I need a babysitter everytime I want to go out at night. Sometimes I get angry when I think about the fact that I missed both of my brother-in-laws' weddings because she was acting up and we had to leave the church. That being said, that girl can melt my heart with one sweet look....one "I love you mommy" when I close the door to her room right after I've read her a book...one hug, one kiss, one giggle, one nuzzle. There's just nothing like it. A child changes your life in a profound way and I am so happy I have mine.

Having my daughter has changed a lot of things. I know I need to do something great with my life. I actually have goals that I need and want to make plausible, not just something I'd like to do. Obviously there are the financial strains but seeing her grow and change everyday is worth the money we spend. There's something special about teaching such a helpless little girl everything. It's really hard to describe but its so worth it.

I personally don't have any children yet, but my sister has three little ones (all under four). From talking to her it seems like it's made it better. There are good times along with the bad... But there is nothing like seeing their eyes light up when they see her. I think she would tell you that it's the best thing that has ever happened to her.
