I'm currently a junior, and may have a chance to date a freshman girl. Now, I usually frown on dating freshmen because of their maturity levels. On the other hand, I haven't dated anyone in over a year and a half. Is it wrong for me to be apprehensive when considering dating a freshman?

No, it's not wrong, but you may be dening yourself some of the more mature freshmen girls. It's not likely, but there could be a freshman girl more mature then the rest of them. If you limit yourself by saying you won't go out with any of 'em, you're missing out. My say on this would be just keep your eyes open, age doesn't matter *that* much, and if you like a girl get to know what she's really like. Then decide from there.
Happy hunting!

Saying that ALL freshmen are immature could be limiting your chances. There are old age adults that never matured....and I have met 12 year olds that are extremely mature.

There are exceptions to every rule. Give the freshman a chance!

Typically, I don't think I would go for freshman if I was a junior. Freshman girls are fresh off out of middle school, and most of them are probably still immature. I don't know about the one you mentioned, but I'm sure there are some freshman girls worth dating. Make your decision based on her actions toward you.

It definately depends on the person, I know when I was a freshmen...I had no idea what I was getting myself into... but it could be different from person to person. I think you should give her a chance to prove herself, but don't let her pull you into her immaturity.

Course not. You shouldn't date someone just for the sake of it. If you don't feel comfortable about dating her due to any reason then she isn't the right girl for you. But if you DO get to know her and like her theres no reason why you shouldnt.

If you fall in love, can you still wait four years? If not, it's jail time.
You don't go after the vulnerable ones because you can't get a girl your age, Find an older girl.

I think it's rather rude to consider all freshman immature. Talk to her, see what she's like. She may act more mature than you think^_~

Depends...like you said, the maturity level will play a big role, along with her commitment to be with you, how she acts, if she's trustworthy, if she'll be able to hold the relationship strongly, etc. If you think she's up to it, then go for it...but I, myself, wouldn't go for it, mainly because of those reasons.

everyone is different, you should generalize all of the younger people to be immature, that only proves that you are too. It's all about the person and everyone is different. age doesn't define maturity

u may not have a prob with it, but a lot of her friends might, a friend of mine went out with a senior and we all thought that this senior was so desperate that he would do it with a dog. most adults would frown upon it too
