Lemon and Honey is excellent.

You can also try Glycerin or Gelatine.
Starburst or soft fruit sweets are a nice way of taking it.

This doesnt cure it, just eases it.

If your sore throat continues for too long, its a good idea to go to the GP/medic and get it checked out.

A cup of hot water (you can make an Herbal tea in it if you like) with 1 Tbsp. lemon Juice, 1 Tbsp. honey, 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper, and 1/2 tsp ground fresh ginger root, or 1 tsp. ground ginger. Make sure it is really hot at first, and stir often, as the cayenne doesn't dissolve very well.
Good Luck!

Sore throat is usually due to a viral infection. Gargling with warm salty water or mouthwash can reduce the pain and inconvenience. You can find some good home remedies at http://ailments.in/sorethroat.html

It depends on why its sore, but if it is because of a mild cold get some warm salt water and gargle with it. I know it tastes nasty but it loosens any mucas up that is in thier and promotes healing. If that does not help get a throat spray and just numb it up.

If you tried all the possible herbal meds and still no effect, antibiotics 4 times a day for seven days. My guess its not just sore throat, Its tonsillitis.
