He's a fried food, meat and potatoes kind of guy. He eats NO vegetables, no matter what we cook. He just doesn't like them, but his health is suffering and he's too stubborn to change his diet. Anyone know any good ways to "hide" vegetables in food that he can't taste, or any recipes that are high in vitamins and necessary vegetable like materials without the taste?

We had the same problem with our daughter. We ended up grinding vegetables and mixing it with the meat. We also provided food that looked like meat that were not.

In my case, a physical checkup changed my life. BTW, don't forget that people eat the food that they have [at home]!

To get more fibre in him you can buy the new fiber thay advertise that they put in spaghetti sause and stuff like that. You can put wheat germ in meat loaf. You can broil, and grill his meat if it's not a roast or something and get away from the fried. You can make fruit salads with marshmallows, they seem sweet but are healthy. Nothing wrong with meat and potatoes, just the way they are cooked and the amount he eats. Doe he like salad or anything? If so, make it a lot or whatever he likes a little make it more special by adding to it and getting him to try it. Buy lean cuts of meat. If he likes fish or chicken bake it and it is good for him. Sit him down, tell him you love him and you want him around for that special occasion, marriage or grandkids, whatever and ask him to change at least two meals a week. Make a compromise...it might work. Then give him a cook book with healthy meals in it and let him pick one or two. Also, veggie soups in the crockpot are good and most men love that, potatoes, green beans, corn, tomatoes, turnip, canned chicken and beef broth, it's all healthy. I fry hamburger, drain add onion and garlic and fry with a little olive oil and then add to crock pot with everyghing else.Let it cook all day and serve with some corn bread. What about v-8 juice, it has lots of vitamins in it. Get a juicer and do your own, don't let him see what you add, then out carrots with apple and frozen strawberries, it's great. Good luck. Show him this post, he may see you are worried.
