Starting with a temporary color is a great idea, but make sure it is temporary. If you have to mix two bottles together from the same box, that means one of those bottles is the developer and the color is NOT temporary and will be there for quite some time. Remember 21 washings is not temporary that means at least 21 days. This way you won't have that ugly out growth line too. Also stay away from Ash tones, use more of a natural lite brown, ash is what can give you the green tone. Don't go too dark, remember medium brown could look very dark on your blonde hair, so be careful please. Do NOT pick the color because you like the model on the boxes hair, her base color is most likely much different than yours. Good luck and PLEASE use something TEMPORARY!

I did that about 5 times, I just bought the hair dye by looking at the color chart on the side of the box, and did it. I bought a bit darker color than what I wanted and it eventually faded to a good color. I never had it turn green. Remember that you will have to retouch the roots about every 3 or 4 weeks, continual maintenance, so are you sure you want to do this? Most people want to dye their hair our color, blonde, it's a good color to be! Also, if you mess this up, you will probably want to go to a salon to fix it, and lots of hair color will fry your hair.

use a light brown hair color w/ any color tone that doesnt say ash. or plum it will be purple. if your hair has been bleached blonde then use a med. brown, because it will slide off quick. like a wk or two.

i just did that, but i ended up going to a salon because i thought it was too risky. it also could turn red, depending on the undertones of your hair. you could always call and ask a colorist to get an opinion. good luck!

Start with a temporary to find the right shade for you, then get a shade similar to that in a permanant color
