I've had them for as long as I can remember, regardless of water intake or the amount of sleep I get. They last all day, and are still noticable with concealer. Any suggestions?

Well, Preperation H works pretty darn well, and you know that myth of cucumbers helping? Well it's not a myth, the coolness of the cucumbers actually shrinks your bags under your eyes, or it might just be hereditary...look at your parents, do they have bags under their eyes?

Use an eye-cream! Not an anti-aging one, just a moisturising, brightening one. Your eyes are puffy and black because they are dehydrated. Your concealer doesn't work because your dried-out eyes suck up all the moisture as soon as it goes on. If you use a moisturising eye cream twice a day, the skin around your eyes will hydrate and become healthier, and the bags will eventually disappear. The brightening part of it will help hide the bags while your eyes repair. Dove has a great eye cream, the Energy Glow. It really works. Ecotanicals has a nice one too.
Don't use a normal moisturiser on your eyes, the skin is too delicate. And try to avoid loading the makeup on the dark parts - that just makes them worse, because the talc in makeup absorbs your skin's moisture.
Good luck!
Oh, PS: for those of you in Australia, do not buy hemorrhiod (? spelling?) cream to put on your eyes. The ingredient in it which reduces the puffiness has been REMOVED from the formula. Buying this cream would be a waste of time and would do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for your eyebags.

To help with puffiness, use Preparation H. Sounds gross, but all the beauty mags, and hundreds of pageant girls can't be wrong. I have tried it too, and it does work. For the purple discoloration, I use Well Rested eye shadow by Bare Minerals. I buy that make-up line through QVC, but you can also go direct to them.

Try placing ice of them, place a thin cloth fist, then place the ice cubes inside a small plastic bag. & place it on the area. Leave it for a while, and repeat for a few days.
Hope it help!
