There is no hope for humanity, very low likelihood of us discovering helpful extraterrestrials, and a very low likelihood of modern man evolving into something better before he kills himself.

Just what the hell am I to look forward to?

What can anyone look forward too?

Don't bother with that "yes there is a God" claptrap, I'm giving up on the search.

I have been trying as hard as I could to either find God or some other ultimate purpose. All I found was a universe that builds and then destroys ad infinitum. Reality is worse than an episode from the twilight zone on crack.

I've done more than enough of those "fun" things. Now they are repulsive to me. I need a purpose, not fun. If there is no purpose, I will kill myself the moment I am sure of it lest I spread the horrible truth to anyone else.

All lousy answers. I don't want to choose any of them.

I look forward to each day I'm alive. Yes, it sucks that life is so temporary. However, at least we have it for a while. Enjoy life while you can.

Do you gain enjoyment from anything? If so, live for that. Your life only takes up residence in one microscopic part of the time line of existence.
Stop worrying so much and just enjoy things that make you happy.
Chances are you won't be around when humanity is snuffed out so it's not your problem.

What the hell do you have to look forward to? The rest of your life. Get away from your computer. Travel, meet people, read, laugh, have fun, have sex (a person favorite). Stop moping about and drowning in despair because you can't find the "meaning" of life. Stop thinking about it all, and make the most of things before you die.

Life is a journey. I find hope every day. If you are looking at life as a destination, you will miss the enjoyment of the journey. Life may be short but that only makes it all the more precious.

Hope is wishful thinking. Personally, I'm a realist... the only things I really hope for have a good chance of happening. The only thing I 'hope' is that I won't have to expect the worst.

Useful or creative work, music, literature, art, science, nature, ideas, and love (of many different varieties).

Some people feel they need God to find meaning in their lives. Others of us have to look elsewhere.

Abandon all hope then you have a chance of finding God.

God is real. He gives hope, I love Him.
