It can be dangerous if the total amps used exceeds what one surge protector can handle because the heat that the current generates will melt the insulated cover, therefore causing a fire.

i'm a volunteer firefighter and i'll tell you it's not a good idea. if you have say a 6-plug surge protector plugged into a 2-plug outlet, you're already overloading the outlet as soon as you plug more than 2 things into the surge protector. if you have 5 things plugged into the surge protector then you plug another surge protector into the one already there, then plug 6 things into the second surge protector, you are extremely overloading the circuit. best case scenario you'll trip the circuit breaker or the outlet will just blow. worst case, the outlet will spark and start a fire from being overloaded to the max. if you really need to do this, only do it for a very short time and even then it's a bad idea.

It really not hurt. But, you have to think how these work. Say you load the first up and then add to the second. The first may throw the breaker. It would be best to plug two into your receptacle. But, then it may throw the house breaker, if, there is too much current draw. Most house breakers are 15 Amps (20 tops and 30 for Dryers and AC) when the current exceed this, they "Trip"!

Probably very dangerous. Likely to start a fire. But mine right here has been hooked up like that for 3 years and so far no unscheduled BBQ type event.

don't do it, thats too much things drawing power from one circuit. it can short circuit and possibly even start a fire. fire=not cool ;) just get an extension cord and run it to a different outlet
