I'm thinking of getting this design custom made for a tattoo:

a dragon breathing fire on a knight in armor, knight is not in good shape - dented armor, burned face, etc, helmet is off and lying on the ground, knight is holding shield up to block the flames. whole scene surrounded by a circle of fire. meanwhile, a horse is galloping towards the fight scene, a broken chain around its ankle.

all the objects in this can be interpreted as symbols.

what do you think, and if i do get it, where should it go?

I think it would look the best on your back, because it sounds like a large piece, and your back is a relatively flat canvas to put it on.

Definitely back, not only for space but also for layout. You're going to want to have a very flat space, and the chest - the other big space - has certain "terrain features" that could get in the way (nipples, navel, pectorals, etc).

Sounds cool; now you'll just need to find an artist who'd like a little challenge.
Oh, and a few kilobucks for the work over many sessions...

the only place you could get that tattoo would be on your back to get the kind of detail you want and it would have to be a full back piece. it sounds like an interesting tattoo but i hope you won't trust just any artist to do it because frankly, most tattoo artists aren't talented enough to pull that off. there are some great artists out there tho, and i hope you are aware that it won't be a cheap tattoo by any means. if you need help finding a custom artist in your area feel free to email me. good luck!

Check out the backpieces section

I would get this on your back because it's a large flat/smooth surface...

best of luck...

To show that much "action" and detail, but not make it too "busy", you are going to need to put it somewhere with alot of space. I would have to say your back is going to be the best candidate for this work.
All I can say is Save your money!!!!!!! That's gonna cost a pretty penny for sure.

Sounds awesome. Maybe on your back, upper arm, or leg?

i don't know, sorry but that design kinda sounds lame to me. my grandpa, who is now 59, got one tattoo on each arm that had some bad sayings on it and like a skull w/ a snake in it and **** like that, and when he got older he got embarrassed by it so he had them covered up with on one side a chinese dragon with smoke all over and i forgot the other side but anyways, he really regrets them and it looks silly cuz now he's old.
