Help! My cat Oreo was stollen right out of my front yard! I put up signs and gave out fliers but nothing. I also gave out pictures and posters to the local animal shelters and humane societies just in case someone carried him there! Is there any other way of finding him or anything else I can do?

I did the fliers read
REWARD ( with huge letters and bold face)
then a picture of oreo
then his missing date
and
Black and white cat,male,named OREO
Wearing a Blue Collar
Then my phone number
and yes I went to every vet and gave them 2-3 pictures of him just in case any one came to the vet with him because he has aweful allergies. He also has been neutered and was scheduled to get his shots this week.

This really sux. I'm sorry you have to go through this. You've done more than I would have been able to think about doing. Have you canvassed local vets? You might wanna try that. Try calling the local police. I doubt they would break a sweat over a cat, but they might be helpful in some way. Nice name of the cat, by the way.

I had this happen to me twice last year. It is heartbreaking. You need to act fast as cats don't typically travel more than a 5 house radias. However, if he/she was stollen, it's possible the cat is too far. Keep up with the posters, talk to your neighbors and if possible ask permission to search the back/front/side yards of all the houses in the area. A missing cat is often gone because it has gotten injured and has crawled somewhere to hide and is scared. Hurry! There is still hope.

Go door to door with a photo of your cat. Maybe someone has seen something, or a kind person thought the cat was abandoned and took it in. Also ask if anyone has heard of other missing animals in the area. Ask the same question at the animal shelter and police office.
If other animals have gone missing, check for any facility in the area that uses them for testing. If so, go there in person with a photo of your cat. People who sell animals will often steal many in one area and then move on.
I hate to even mention this but there are sick bastards that steal small animals to feed to their fighting dogs. Ask the police if they know of any such activity in your area. If that is the case you must move fast.
I hope your cat has just wondered off and comes home. Best of luck to you.

I'm so sorry, that's awful.
Not to sound mean but are you sure she didn't run off to go explore?? mine do that all the time and come back in a day or so. If not then maybe put an ad in the paper. also, maybe put those same flyers up at the vet offices around town. sounds like you did everything else.
I hope you find her

I am so sorry that this happened to you, its horrible. I would be a mess (my cats are my children).
Maybe you could ask the local schools to put notices in their news letters, then maybe a parent will read it who has seen Oreo, or heard children who stole her/him talking about it.
Maybe for something horrible like this, its a case of learning a lesson the hard way and you'll now know to get future animals microchipped and keep them inside =(

Some bad kids kidnap cats that are obviously loved in the hopes of beeing offered a "REWARD" when the cat is "found." Give out flyers that offer a reward for the safe return of your cat. Put his picture on it. See if you get any results.

Not if he was stolen. This is a very good example why it is much safer and wiser to keep your cat inside. There are too many dangers and if you love the cat and don't want to feel the guilt of losing it then keep it inside.
