I don't try to be perfect, and I don't believe in sin.

Since the fall of mankind's parents, Adam and Eve, all descendants have been in a state of sin. Man lost fellowship with his creator and as well lost a perfect world that had been created. Now we find ourselves in a state of constant battle between the physical and spiritual worlds. Our souls which are spiritual are always at odds with our bodies or our physical desires. We will continue to be tempted by sin until we are restored to the fellowship with our creator God, that Christians believe was provided for by Christ dying on the cross at Calvary. Further we believe that when one accepts Christ as Savior then we are made complete in Him and that is finalized when we are in Heaven with Him.
To understand sin is to understand that without Christ to intercede for us, we are incapable of attaining any righteousness and approaching God in a union of fellowship as He desires.
I truly hope this has been of some help. BTY a great question.

The answer "seems" to be in your sentence. Being perfect and appearing to be perfect are two different things. As long as we're alive, we're going to sin. Let's face it, none of us are perfect and sometimes the flaws are just glaring us right in the face.

Moonstar, as long as we are in this body, we will tend to sin.
TEND towards sin.
Paul says we are a slave towards our bodies and asked to be removed from it. Do you have this attitude? If you have, you are already one step ahead. Keep having this attitude and slowly you will find yourself having a change of heart and mind. Sins will no longer prevail over you.
It takes time, but you need to persevere. That's why very very few make it to the kingdom of God. Don't worry if ultimately you're still not perfect.
God only asks that we do our very very best. The rest, He will settle for us through the redemption blood of His Son.

Sins? What qualifies as a "sin"? No one is perfect. That's widely accepted. How have I "sinned"? I have lived as well as I can so far...

Who's trying to seem perfect? Sounds like a complex. And what's this about sinning? No such thing.

I follow my own set of morals. When I mess up, I don't call it sinning. I call it making a mistake. I learn from it, and try to do better. People make mistakes because they are human. The continue to make the same mistakes when they have no desire to better themselves.
In my opinion, following a set of morals that I truly believe in means more than following a set of morals thrust upon me by someone else.

Read the Bible, and you will quickly find that perfection and cessation of sin is possible and necessary, but only through Christ.
Not by our own righteousness, but by God's grace.
Isaiah 64:6,8 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away... But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Ezekiel 36:25-27 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you...
We need to be saved from three things:
1)The penalty of sin
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
2)The power of sin
"If God pardoned a man for the sins of the past and did not save him from the power of sin, and then allowed the man to live forever, He would have an everlasting sinner, wouldn't He? This is just what God will not permit. Sinful man was driven from the tree of life lest he should eat and live forever (Genesis 3:22-23). It is not enough merely to have a boat to keep from sinking. We must have strength to row upstream lest we drift until we plunge over sin's great Niagara to eternal destruction. The whole current of our thinking and the swift-moving stream of our restless souls need to be changed to glow God-ward. Do you not even now, sense a great need of more power in your life? God will supply you with this much-needed power." - Family Bible Studies, published by Harvestime Books, pg. 44
3) The presence of sin.
The entire presence of sin shall be destroyed along with its creator, Satan, after the Lord Jesus Christ returns (which will be quite soon).
So, you see, the Lord will purify your character, He will turn the current of your life right. He will make you spotless and perfect, but only if you place your faith in Him. Pray, asking Him to take your sinful self and turn it into a perfect and sinless being. It may take a while, and you may not see it happening at first. Don't despair, and don't lose faith. The Lord has a perfect timing for everything.
If you need more information, additional verses, or Christian counseling in Salvational matters, I would be glad to help (just e-mail me on my profile page). If it is helpful, I am still waiting on that new heart I was promised in Ezekiel 36:26, but I believe with all of my heart that the Lord will give it to me in due time. I really recommend that you read "Steps to Christ" by Ellen G. White, it is so encouraging and helpful.
May God abundantly bless you,
Your Brother in Christ

We all have sinned and falling short from the glory of God. Therefore we must come to repentance. We also will fall as Christians but the bible does encourage us to get back up!

Because we are human. We were created with flaws (don't ask me why. Nobody in the world knows), so it is expected that we sin. Fortunately, if you believe in God, you can ask Him for forgiveness for your sin and if you are truly sorry for you sin, He will forgive you.
