Cuddles was a stray. No one even knows how old he is. Yesterday he spent most of his day in the litter box but didn't produce anything. In the afternoon he wanted to go outside. We couldn't find him last night which is rare. Late this morning we found him laying under the rose bushes. We brought him in. He is lethargic, he isn't eating or drinking, and he isn't producing any urine or feces. He is also in some pain on his back half when he moves certain ways. Does anyone have any ideas? We don't have a lot of money to spend at the vets and if this is something terminal then we will just spend alot of time with him. He seems okay if he just lays there in his box. We sure miss his purr though.

This is extremely serious. Male cats can produce tiny little crystals in their urine that can block the urethra, making them unable to urinate. If they cant urinate then the toxins begin to back up into their body and can cause several severe problems, and death usually within 12-24 hours. Im sorry I didnt see your question sooner, but if you havent been to a vet yet you need to go now. This is a treatable problem, but will be fatal without help. It is an extremely painful way to die, do not let this happen at home. If you dont have the money to treat him, call your local ER vet and ask if they will euthanize him for free, many places will if the pet is suffering.

I in simple terms don't comprehend you human beings. A cat who has stopped eating and eating and isn't any longer using the muddle field is quite ill and desires a vet. no person on the internet can diagnose or manage the concern through fact they ought to be waiting to study the cat to discover the reason. You cat desires on the spot vet care and in case you will no longer be able to offer that, attempt to discover a shelter for her to flow to the place they can provide her medical treatment or have her humanely euthanized so she does not go through. A vet could be waiting to artwork out funds with you. She ought to get medical treatment ASAP.

He could be constipated. My cat was constipated once and we had to take her to the vet, they gave her an enema.
Are there signs of pain? Is he moaning or crying?
