I don't like Chihuahuas. Of those four, I'd go with a Yorkie or Dachshund. My first choice would be a Lab. They are great dogs.

Go to the pound and get a mutt made of these breeds, then you don't have to decide ^_^.

But I like dachshunds, though I tend to not be able to spell nor pronounce the breed's name. Gotta love the weiner dogs.

Chihuahuas are yappy, but I can't talk because my pap doesn't know what being quiet is *she "talks" in her sleep, too.*

Yorkies have been over bred and it'll be incredibly tempting to go for the $500 pups from the paper when the reputable breeders charge twice that much.

Pugs are iffy. Only pug I've ever liked was what I think is now reffered to as a "puggle." It had a pug's face and a tallish beagle-ish body. It was cute. PB pugs are... well, kinda on the ugly/disguisting side to me, but I've never seen a quality one in person so yeah.

Again, I say hit the pound/shelter/humane society and see what you can get. They're guarunteed cheaper, and you'll have saved them in a sense *only in a sense, because someone else may have wanted them to, but the do-gooders think that if you take the most desireable dog from the shelter, you've saved it, despite the fact that there were three other people there that wanted it, too*

It really depends on your life style. Chihuahuas and yorkies are low mantenance dogs, other than the grooming necessary for the yorkie's long coat. Pugs need moderate excercise but are prone to breathing problems. Dachshunds are hunting dogs, they were originally bred to dig under ground to chase after badgers, thus they would have a higher energy level, they are also prone to back problems and obesity. I suggest you do some research on all four breeds and see which suits you best. Then, i suggest checking out your local SPCA to adopt a needy dog, or try Petfinder.com to look for rescues or shelters in your area.

You should so get a basset hound! They are soooo cute especially with thier huge ears!
or if you don't want a basset, get a pocket beagle! I have one and they get so attached to thier owner! I love my beagle Samantha

or if you wanted to choose by the ones that you had, I would say dachound, chuawas are stupid and annoying and yap all day, and I got kicked out of my apt. because of it!

One that you DONT want to get is a pug, Ihad 4 and they pee all over the place and are very annoying.

good luck w/ your new dog!

All those breeds that you have chosen have completely different temperaments. Maybe join a forum for each breed?? You will find out a bit about them from people who own them and ask heaps of questions.
