Tattoos always look very, very odd while they're healing - and I absolutely know the feeling of wondering whether there's REALLY a tattoo underneath all that scabby mess - it's incredibly tempting to want to peel it all off and check...
Don't pick it. Don't scratch it, even if it itches horribly. Leave it alone, and follow the aftercare regime recommended by your tattoo artist.
What'll happen next: gradually, over 1-2 weeks, any scabs will drop off. Underneath them the skin will be very new and fresh, and will still have some more healing to do. Don't be surprised if it looks very shiny, or flaky, or the skin peels a bit. It's just doing what it needs to do to heal.
All of this makes it difficult to see your new tattoo clearly, and may make you worry that some of the colour has dropped out, but basically you just have to wait a good month or so until you can clearly see and enjoy the finished tattoo. Then, if there are little patches that need touching up - which there may be; it's quite normal, particularly if it's a large tattoo - you can go back to the tattoo artist to get it sorted.
Hope this helps!

peeling is a normal thing for a tattoo to do, just make sure you are putting lotion on it and don't mess with it ie: peel the skin off or peel the scabs off...they will go away on their own and the ink will still be there.

Don't worry too much about it. I had gotten a tattoe in the past and peeling is just part of the healing process. However do not...i repeat do not pick on the scab or won't a scar can happen. If it itches....what I did was apply a thin later of lotion. It helps somewhat.

Leave it alone, if it is peeling, let it peel, but don't peel the excess skin off yourself. If you baby the skin for a couple weeks it should be fine.

The top layer of skin will peel off. I assume you have been keeping the skin well moisturized, and following all the guidelines your artist gave you.

its supposed to peel. DO NOT PICK IT.
a tattoo is like a sunburn... it peels
it'll be fine, you can get it touched up 3 weeks after it stops peeling. make sure you use lotion on it 3x a day... Curel is the best.

Just like your mom told you when you were 5, "don't pick at it."
Put some bacitracin on it.
Keep it protected until its fairly healed up(you'll know when).
When it itches, dont scratch it. Give it a little slap. I'm not telling you to beat the **** out of your itchy tatt, just pat it. That should be enough to calm those dry, itchy nerve endings.
Keep it moisturized.
Most importantly... if you're a hot chick, go out right now and get one of those dirty girl lower back tattoos. (you'll have no problem finding someone to put lotion on that one.)

That's completely normal trust me, my ex's did it.. Try not to pick the skin away! The colour might look like it's fading but they return after the healing.. He used a deep moisturiser on his twice a day and it worked wonders.

Sometimes tattoos do scab, but you cant tell for sure if youve screwed it up, continue putting vaseline on it to keep it moist, also you can put saran wrap over the vaseline to keep it moist and keep it from scabbing anymore.

I think it should be fine just don't pick at it. I think I kept mine kinda moist with triple antibiotic ointment so the scab wasn't hard.
