What do you do when he yells? do you yell back?
monkey see monkey do. .
Kids are just kids and go through stages. They will copy an annoying sound, a rude gesture, repeat a bad word.. all for the reaction.
I guess he could of learned his new found annoying habit at day care. He may of seen a child there who yells and gets a quick response from a carer.
Remind him that we all have indoor voices and that you wont answer to anyone yelling at you.

Very likely. They learn a lot, good and bad, from where they spend the majority of their time in life. I would imagine if there are a lot of kids, there's a lot of noise, and kids yell to be heard.

Yes, for kids it is Monkey see, Monkey do. Talk to the daycare teacher about this.
