Most people with ADD aren't physically hyper, its more like your mind keeps jumping to another topic. The behavior you are describing could be ADD, but putting a name to the problem is really meaningless, since even people with ADD are different from one another. No matter what you call it, you definitely seem to have a problem focusing and concentrating and this could hold you back from all sorts of things as time goes by..
At this point in your life you need to think about where you want to go in the future. If you can't do school work, you are destined for lower paying jobs than people who go to college - this is OK, my neighbor didn't go to college and he has a successful construction company. If you want to go to college and have a professional career, then it would be a good idea to learn how to concentrate and organize your time to do what's important instead of always doing what's fun.

It's possible that you have ADD. If you go to the doctor they will have a simple series of questions or a questionnaire for you to fill out.
If you have a hard time concentrating... or if like one of the commercials says, the 'channel' is changing in your mind all the time.. it may be time to seek help.
It's a medical problem, but if you are diagnosed, ask your doctor if a counselor, a tutor, or a study skills class may help. Some of the medicines that are prescribed to kids with ADD are pretty hardcore, and as fun as it may sound, it may not be your best option.

first of all, i have ADD and you definitely can't self-diagnose yourself. only doctors can. so see a doctor..the reason you're failing spanish could be you having ADD or it could just be that you're more focused on talking to your friends and stuff, instead of paying attention.
ADD isn't curable, you can only treat it. With that, you can't treat it just with medicine, you have to try really hard too. You can't just take the medicine and expect to just all of a sudden make good grades. If you truly have ADD or ADHD, you have to make yourself try harder to pay attention and do your work.
Also, ADHD doesn't always mean that YOU yourself are hyper. It actually means that your brain is hyperactive and has too many things going on at once. My brother has ADHD and he's one of the most calm and laid back people I've ever known, even without his medicine.

No, you just have a bad case of teenage laziness. I'm turning 15 thursday and going through very similar situations myself. No, there's nothing wrong with you. Just apply yourself a little harder. Besides, when you're talking about someone and not paying attention is normal, as that person may be "very boring". AS I said, just apply yourself a little more and settle your priorities.

ADD is made up by the psychs to make a drug using client out of you for life. drugs never help and often cause suicide. If you or you mom do not believe me, or if when you tell her this she thinks YOU are full of crap; then both of you go to www.cchr.org and see the videos of the psychs telling you that it is all bs.
