I didn't tell them how I feel. I told them what I thought. They seemed to be undisturbed, and only mildly interested. I think for the most part they were concerned more with themselves than with me. People are often like that.

First: it relatively is superb your buddy feels stable adequate to communicate to you. So I take this factor extreme for you asking it. it relatively is an significant element for her and for the guy in contact too. the problem you're asking approximately is broken down as this. a million] might desire to my buddy date a guy that's no longer spiritually comparable to her? 2] is that this subject significant? To the 1st one i might say which you will possibly desire to no longer care as a great way simply by fact the religious element it incredibly is a few thing that they might cope with jointly. My advise to you for her, is probably study her very own perception and discover out why she adheres to it and why he would not. She might discover she relatively would not have that lots of a reason to fret approximately him and extra reason to fret bearing directly to the the remainder of her pals. 2nd, i might motivate you to study your very own motives for adherence. Having faith is a great way from a distinctive function. It blinds your ability to discover actuality precise. i understand many solutions have suggested "butt out" or some thing like that it incredibly is glib. the factor is there is not any longer assure in relationships and despite if she replaced into to detect somebody that had a similar faith innovations as she did there is not any thank you to foretell how the relationship will bypass. the main suitable advise is to tell her to do what she feels is stable for her and which you will help her. the nice and cozy button is regardless on how lots she needs your advise, she would be in a position to be the guy who has to stay with him in the event that they get married or proceed a relationship. i'm an atheist yet considering which you and her have self belief, how do you already know that God isn't bringing them jointly for his income. however the main suitable advise it to easily enable this is.

Well when I was about 13 I told my parents that I didn't want to go to church anymore. They left it drop at that. I don't think they really wanted the full story, so I never made it a point to push it.

lol, I've only told my mom and older sister and they don't seem to give a damn about it. My dad has never stepped in a church though I know that he's a believer, and my little sister is an atheist too (she was being deceived so I had to convince her that there was no god)

They weren't really concerned. They respect my beliefs, and they are believers that if you're a good person, you'll go to Heaven, regardless of your beliefs.

Well luckily my immediate family is the same as I am...
Friends just kind of figured it out, one because of this site, and haven't really talked about it... Guess I am one of the lucky ones.

My mom cried. My dad expected it. Neither one condemned me for it... but now they seem to be in a bit of denial. My brother is pretty much of a like mind, and I think they know it, but they have absolutely no desire to ask him about it.

Dude, it's a tolerant world. I'm not atheist, but I'm not into evangelism. People just shrug & say t"hat's cool", or "what's Hinduism like".
