When I'm done, I have whey protein drinks that i like to drink with milk, but am willing to drink with water (for the quicker breakdown of the protein). I ALWAYS have an apple 10 mins before i work out.

What should I do about the protein drink? Drink it RIGHT after I'm done working out and have a snack or what??

I usually have it after I work out...I also add milk and peanut butter....I have to mix it up...cause I get sick of the same tast. but add anything with lots of protien. A apple is alright before workout...I would maybe think about taking a powerbar or some kind of suppliment that gives you a lot of energy, thus making your workout a little more effective.....if you get a lot of lactic acid...I heard drink apple juice.....I do it sometimes, but I have never actually seen it written anywhere....just some ideas.

Drink the protein drink whichever way you can stomach it, if it tastes better with the milk than drink it with the milk and you'll get a serving of dairy, personally I have to gag it down because it tastes so horrible. It is good that you have an apple before you work out to get some energy since it's not good to work out on an empty stomach. I suggest that as soon as you get done working out you drink your protein drink to replenish your muscles, then you should have a snack or light meal. *Don't forget to drink water while you work out

Re-hydrate , of course...save the drink for later. A snack is not a bad idea, and fruit is a great way to replace any glycogen you need.. Stretch some after working out. The muscles are loose and warm, so take this time to help improve your flexibility.

I used to drink protein right after a work out for a long time. I thought it helped me build muscle. Then, I stopped using it because I read that your body gets rid of excess protein in your pee. So, I was peeing all that money I spent into the toilet! I stopped drinking proteing, and I am still gaining muscle like before.

Don't buy the stuff...it does nothing.

resting is essential after an excersise. Then eating is good too. ONly good food, like fruits and vegetables, blah!
