Everyone is different, so no one can tell you exactly how it will feel for you. Rest assured that you will feel at least a little something, but of all the navels I pierce only 1 out of 50 girls will cry or scream in pain. Most people have told me (and I agree) the worst part is the clamps and there is a slight stinging feeling and that's that.

The biggest thing is that you go to a reputable piercer and take care of your piercing! Good luck.

Getting a shot hurts 3 times as worse, I'm serious. After I got my belly button pierced, and still to this day, I do not feel any pain. It was a quick pressure and pinch when getting it pierced, the clamp hurt more probably. You will be fine :) Didn't hurt at all. I even did sit ups in gym the next day without feeling a thing.

I went for my belly button piercing when I was 17 and for a person who is dead scared of needles, it wasn't so bad. I did have an injection to deaden the area, which would explain why it wasn't sore. The only problem was when it started to bleed once it was done, but only for about 5 mins and then it was fine.

Just look after the piercing and clean it properly and you will be fine.

Actually, when I got mine pierced (a long time ago) the piercer couldn't get the needle through my skin, and this was a big dude. So it hurt really really bad and I ended up fainting. My sister got hers done next and it went right through and didn't really hurt her. So my hole ended up being really short and the jewelery ended up looking really weird, I had a lot of issues with healing, then I got pregnant and got huge stretch marks around the hole and it's not pretty. So, just think before you do it.

No not really. It feels like a hard pinch. the worst part of any piercing is the clamps they are very uncomfortable but take away from the actual pain of the piercing.

kind of, the way i got it hurt like hell but that's because it was done way weird and not w/ a professional! ALWAYS DO IT WITH A PROFESSIONAL! you'll be sorry if you don't! i hear that if you have more fat on your belly, the less it hurts and vice versa. i don't think it hurts that bad though and alot of people say that it's one of the piercings, other than ears, that hurts the least.

not at all I was in and out of the peircers in 10 minutes or less and it felt like a pinch and I'm serious just a pinch and it was a over.
The only thing that is bothering me at the moment is it's healing and it itches and a little burning. but other than that. The initial peirce does not HURT

Anything that gets pierced must hurt. It's just like Mikckey D fries or BK burgers. Exact same thing!!!

I have zero tolerance for pain but it didn't hurt me at all. I actually remained standing during it. I didn't want to sit down because I thought I wanted to see it coming. I turned my head when he went to poke it and it was over before I can completely turn my head. After he finished I went to walk and I felt light headed, which wasn't a shock because he explained that to me in the beginning. It was all worth it!
