you have to use a crimping iron on your hair like this:

Other ways to get hair that may be what you are talking about would be to put the hair in really tight tight braids when it is wet and let it dry, then take them out.
Another way is to run mousse through your hair with your fingers when it is wet. Curly hair mousse works best.

You can get a crimper and crimp parts of your hair that you want to be crimped to apply an effect. That's the most effective way.

well you can buy a crimping iron or you could put conditioner in your hair then part it in sections and braid it real tight blow dry it then take the braids out works for me

Take a shower, apply gel, and wait until your hair drys a little bit and braid it in the afternoon. So the style will last longer.Then unbraid it the next morning.

That style died YEARS AGO. Sorry to tell u but I am just keeping it real. I would suggest curling your hair. It is fast and easy.

braid your hair before you go to bed...then in the morning unravel it...or buy a crimper.
