I was wandering what the minimum height to join the u.s. marine corps was? im 5'5 right now and 16 id say i can grow another inch. but i was wandering how tall it was? i rly wanna be a marine!

don't worry your tall enough ..... although it may keep you from becoming an MP ... for some reason there is a high requirement for that MOS.... barely made it .... I'm 5'7

Of course you're tall enough. Most of the military has no minimum height requirements, but some individual units do - for example the Army Honor Guard. And don't listen to the person who said you have to turn 18 to enlist because it's not true. You can join the DEP (deferred enlistment program) when you are 17 as long as your parents or legal guardian signs off on it. I don't know about the Marines, but for in Army Reserve you can do your basic training over summer break, then finish your final year of high school while getting drill pay one weekend a month. Once you've finished high school you then go off to AIT. You may want to see if the Marines have a simliar program as it would allow you to finish high school and get a paycheck at the same time. :)

You can join at that height. But you might be limited to which MOS you can get. Do pullups and play basketball. You still got time to grow. Good luck!

ur def. tall enough...especially if you want to be a pilot...they like shorter people for that....
