I think it would be best to make her a bed on the floor for a couple days, she wont need to jump up or down or be placed on the bed or on the floor. You never know what could happen in the middle of the night. She may suddenly fall off the bed and tear a stitch or two.
You dont want that!
Better to be safe than sorry for now.

When you first get a dog fixed, if shouldnt jump up at all or it will pull the stiches out and it will end up not healing right. I would consider not letting it go up and down stairs or jumping at all.
When I first got my 2 pupps neutured, the vet said to not let them jump for the first 6 weeks. But the first 2-3 weeks were crucial, because if they jumped and made the stiches pop out then he (vet) would have to re stich it and it would cost like an extra $100 dollars.
I would deffinitly help her up and down for the first few weeks.
Thank you for spaying your dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

i would rather help her for a couple of days. just cuz of her getting spayed. u don't want the stitches to come open. or have her be really active. i know after my dog dog neutered he went running around the house and came and layed down cuz he was in so much pain. so u r better of helping her to about friday and she should be fine by then.

You should help her for the first week. We had our lab puppy spayed when she was around 5 months so I had to carry her up and down 11 stairs when she had to go out to use the potty. It got old quick but she healed up well.

Your vet should have told you, no jumping or running or rough play for a week. Check her stitiches daily, you also need to make sure she doesn't bleed internally from stitches stretching apart on the inside. Take care of her, it isn't for long.

Help her on and off for a few days....the vet did tell you to limit her activity right? If she exeeds her limits she runs the risk of breaking her stitches, both internally and externally.

I would not let her do any jumping for a few days! Try, as hard as it is, to keep her quiet for a week.
