I'm surprised that many of the answers are just as ignorant as the original questions.

1. Hitler was not German, Hitler was Austrian. He did not become a German citizen until 1932, a year before he took power.

2. Hitler did not invade Germany - he was the head of state in Germany from 1933 until the end of the war.

The only "campaign" inside the German Reich was the re-militarization of the Rhineland in 1936. The Rhineland had been occupied by Allied troops after World War I through the Treaty of Versailles, until Allied troops left most of the Rhineland in 1930 and the Saarland in 1935 (after the people of that region voted to return "home to the Reich"). Re-militarization in this context means that German troops were once again stationed in that region of Germany.

Well actually it was more of a coup then an invasion but in Nov 1923 Hitler was the head of the Nazi Party that had about 55,000 followers. Hitler and the Nazis hatched a plot in which they would kidnap the leaders of the Bavarian government and force them at gunpoint to accept Hitler as their leader. Then, according to their plan, with the aid of famous World War One General Erich Ludendorff, they would win over the German army, proclaim a nationwide revolt and bring down the German democratic government in Berlin.
It was called the Beer Hall Putsch. It failed he went to prison and that's when he wrote "Mein Kampf"

Seems other people need to read some history books as well. Good luck with the essay.
