I have read a few of the answers, it looks like few understand the religion of the Egyptians. It was an honor to build the tombs of the kings they saw as living gods. At first they (Egyptians) ran to do the work of the building. As the work went on and on for year they had to have taskmasters placed over them. Of course they used slaves for building projects as well but I have never studied any time where an important religious building was built by anyone but Egyptians. Jim

The pyramids were already ancient when the Israelites arrived in Egypt (they were well over 1000 years old before the birth of Moses). The Israelites were not slaves in Egypt - they were hired mercenaries who were conscripted into providing construction materials for Egyptian builders in northern Egypt.
Egyptians did not typically employ slaves. The pyramids were built by Egyptians alone.

NO.... as Jewish now believer in Yeshua. That is total nonsense. They were enslaved but not in a bad way. They did not even want to leave egypt when Moses came. They were the ones who handled the money, and yes were slaves and did meanial work as well, but the pyramids are a mystery and my belief and the belief of people and rabbis and preists is that NO they did not built the pyramids.

Until the Israelites left Egypt they built them. Without them the Egyptians probably had to build them themselves.

Well, i dont think slaves from another land would have been trusted to build a religiously important structure like the pyramids. That would have a huge potential for things to go wrong. The pharaoh probably would only trust people of the same religion to build his burial site. The Israelis had to much of a grudge against the pharaoh.

That's just Hollywood myth, created by the Jews who own the movie media empire in the US.
Sorry, no historical credibility in Hollywood movies, just fictional entertainment...
The Hebrews were relatively unknown during the building of the Great Pyramids of Egypt. The first record of their existence appeared during the New Kingdom possibly during the reign of Ahmose I, and more prominent, Thutmose (Tutmosis) III, several thousand years after the pyramids were built...

Research and study in genetics and archeology have confirmed that it was the Egyptians that built the pyramids. The bible simple says the Isrealites where slaves. It never says they were slaves whose labor built the pyramids.

HITAN ( Democracy in Heaven )
--goal is to overthrow the CREATOR and install democracy in Heaven
During the late summer and early autumn months, during the annual flooding of the fields with water from the annual innundation of the Nile flooded the fields, a large labor force would appear at Giza to put in time on the pyramids. These farmers and local villagers gathered at Giza to work for their god kings, to build their monuments to the hereafter.

Both. The Israelites were not the only slaves the Egyptians had; many Egyptians were slaves and other races were also enslaved. The Egyptians were the primary architects though.

Is there any non-Biblical evidence to support the belief that the Israelites were EVER slaves in Egypt?
