In my opinion, the reason for getting a tattoo is to show a reflection of your personality, your beliefs, your gratitude for another human, thing, or even your pet and it can be anything you want it to be. That is why many people get tattoos. I don’t mind if someone asks to see my tattoo. It’s body art. There are art museums all over the world for lovers to see everyday! Your body is its own canvas! I indeed have a tattoo. When I was 16, I decided that “Hey, I’m going to get a tattoo because Mom said no.” I ended up getting a green four leaf clover on my hip, with the caption “LUCKY YOU”. I love it still to this day. When people asked to see it, I let them! No big deal. It is now a part of my body! And I would most defiantly get another!

No, I don't mind at all when people ask me about them. They are a part of how I feel and if I wanted to hide them, I wouldn't have had them etched into me. I have a maple leaf with crossed swords and the letters c10 on my shoulder blade. It is a military tattoo I got when I finished my Infantry training. I also have a phoenix on my left upper arm. Its in more of a Celtic/symbol style of drawing, with everything interwoven. I liked it because its such a positive symbol of perseverance and regeneration.

For the one that is in plain sight, no I do not mind...I actually like it. I know I am not obligated to share my story but often times I do because I get to share my artwork and my story. When making the decision about placement, one of my primary thoughts was who would be able to view my tattoo.

The tattoo that I was just referring to is the emblem of a Christian camp that saw me grow. Many experiences and memories were formed there. It is a part of me, and it is more than skin deep.

No, I don't mind if I get asked about it, since I put it in a visible spot. If I didn't want to be asked, I would've hidden it. Oddly enough, most people ask me if it's real, since I also don't look the "type" to have a tattoo. If only they knew I had two! the second one was purposely put in a more covered spot, since it's more personal.

When children ask I don't mind but adults asking gets old. Especially the question: "You know that's permanent don't you?"

On that note. I have an Eddy (Iron Maiden) on the inside of my right arm from the arm-pit to the elbow, a flaming guitar on the right outer arm, a raven with a straight sword (symbolizing my children Blade and Raven), devil horns \m/ on my right bicep, a rose, supergirl, and Darckchylde on my right forearm and ocean rocks around the right wrist. Lightning traverses through and around all the tattoos.

Bat signal on left shoulder, a bleeding rose on left outer arm with words "Nichts Ist Fur Immer" underneath, Medicine wheel and tribal style feathers, a silhouette of Chief Stone Child and an older tattoo of a skull (redone recently) on the left forearm. Superman emblem on the left bicep.

A tribal wing pattern on my middle back with extensions on the shoulder blades (six more pieces needed to complete the back)

A Punk rock/catholic/vixen school girl on my left chest area and a Gothic girl on the right chest area (school books, candelabra, and smoke, moon, bats surrounding them to make the scene.

A Wonder Woman (Michael turner "identity crisis") on my right outer thigh.

A tribal pattern with moon (nice freehand work) on my outer calf extending from bottom of knee to shin, an Kanji on the back of the calf, and a Cancer (astrological symbol) on the inside of the right calf

A two tone tribal symbol on the outer left calf.

No, but I do get a few odd looks. Cause you can't always see them.

As I don't look like the "TYPE" of person to get tattoos.

I have a rose entangled in barb wire on my right ankle. Got it for my 4th wedding anniversary.

I have a heart with angle wings, with my son's name in a scroll, on my left inner ankle and a cherub asleep in the clouds, with my other son's name on it, just above the wings, on my inner shin.

i have 4 stars and the initials DDKB on my foot. Three of the stars are about the size of a quarter and are only outlined in black. The fourth star is about half the size and is totally blue. The initials are the first initials of my parents, my brother, and I. The three big stars stand for my 2 BEST friends and I and the smaller concentrated star stands for family.

Only if someone gets too curious about why I picked the lyrics I have around my wrists. It's a personal thing and I don't need to share all that with the general public.

No, I don't mind. I don't want to be asked negative questions from strangers. I have two that I would not want to show to someone I did not know well especially in public. That would be getting to personal.
