Its kind of funny because I am a sophomore (homeschooled) and I have to write this research report for the end this quarter, so I am gathering all this info from all these different sites and alot of them statisticly say that by the time homeschooled students turn 30 years old, 95% of them vote in a national/state election in the U.S. Compared to the average 30 year old is in the 40 percent tile. And now whats so funny is that on every homeschooled question asked under this part of yahoo answers is that there are ALWAYS tons of thumbs up or thumbs down! I find that really funny I have been reading this for my report for awhile now and then all of a sudden I notice that "statisticly" yahoo answers has made me take more interest in my report! All because of the thumbs up and the thumbs down people give each other on here. I like how, "we" like to notify everyone if we, agree or disagree with them. Anyone find this fasinating?

hahaha, that is lol funny!
I love it! I'm going to watch this with a much higher level of interest and entertainment!
But the research behind it? The research that says homeschool students are more civic minded and more likely to vote, and that is something they carry into adulthood?
Not bad for a bunch of backwards, uneducated social outcasts, huh? (that was sacrasm, for those that don't get it!)
(PS: I'm gong to exercise my "right to vote" and give you a star)
LOL
Thanks for the grin, I needed that!

Not fascinated or interested. I'm not home schooled, but I have a 100% voting record in all national/state elections.

homeschooled kids often are the result of opinionated parents directing their kids education. "like father like son", the kids also tend to be somewhat opinionated and tend to have a say in who leads the gov't. they are validating their opinion or right to exercise it in voting.
