I noticed something a few days ago, and I am wondering which one is better.
My guy-friend, if I am asking him how I look or how my hair is - he always says "Beautiful." or "Beautiful, as always."
Then I noticed that when he is talking to his girlfriend, he is always calling her "sexy" in fact, although I mean I'm SURE he has, I have never heard him call her beautiful or pretty.
So, guys, can you de-code the difference between 'beautiful' and 'sexy' for me?

Beautiful. You're more into the person as a whole, not just the exterior.

i agree that sexy is more of an intimate thing.
I would prefer (even my boyfriend) to call me beautiful or gorgeous rather than sexy! Sexy to me is just an outside thing, but being called beautiful or gorgeous is more of a deep compliment made about all of you, not just the outside.

Beautiful means the person he likes to get from his heart. But sexy means one whose body he enjoys for a fun only.

In my opinion Beautiful would be ab better choice, seemly when a guy says "Oh, you're sexy", they're just oggling your butt or something.

well generally sexy isnt something ur going to call your friend its something that's reserved for your girlfriend. and beautiful is pretty darn good on its on.

In this instance it seems that beautiful is more of a sisterly term and sexy to him is f*******! Sorry to be blunt, but it's a fact of life. (My husband answered this one for you.)

i think in this context:
beautiful = youre good looking but cant or wont say sexy because it sounds like i wanna do u.
sexy = youre good looking and i want to do you.

He is your friend... It would be a little odd to call you sexy right? But it would be right to call his girlfriend that, right?

hi socks... i think beautiful and sexy go together... your hair can be beautiful and your eyes be sexy... or your lips sexy.. or you can dress sexy or you can dress beautiful... and be sexy.. so i think they go together..

beautiful-when a guys heart melts and he thinks you look amazing, cute, gorgeous, etc.
sexy-hot and fiery. more sexual interpretation/meaning.
