Well, flat stomachs really take a while to build, but seeing as how most likely your partys coming up pretty soon, there's not too much you can do.
1. Do CRUNCHES every single day, do it like you drink water (which should be a lot). Situps don't work as well because they tend to work not only your abs, but spread out too much of your core. If you want a flat stomach, it's all about abs and crunches.
2. Go running everyday, at least for an hour. Warm up by jump roping and I know this may sound gross because you're a girl, but you've got to sweat out those calories, so push yourself. If you hate running, you got no choice. Get your iPod and GO!
3. Drink water, it doesn't make your stomach big. The only time it does is if you are absolutely BLOATED (which takes drinking like 2 gallons of water or something). So don't even trip about drinking water, it might actually help you get to a flatter stomach more quickly.
4. Don't drink anything fried, fat, you know. Keep your calorie level around 2000 and burn around 2500. That will help you lose even more weight.
5. This my final advice, don't do anything stupid and try to starve yourself or anything dumb. Stick to the basics and you'll have a nice flat stomach.

Nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat. Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic load. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin and healthy. Salt has no calories but makes you fat and burning more calories does not help this fatness.

No sit ups won't work I mean you may gain some ab muscle but it;s going to be under your fat, and no drinking water doesn't make your stomach bigger, in fact it helps even to loose weight once you exercise, and that's what you need, you need to exercise, do mostly cardiovascular exercises to burn the fat off, you know some running, walking, riding bikes, etc. That's the only way you;ll loose the fat off your stomach and like you say have a flat stomach.

the only way to burn fat is through eating less calories and burning more, through cardio. Sit ups only strengthen your ab muscles, but wont do anything for the layer of fat on top.
cut your calories to 1700 a day, and then do 45 minutes of cardio (walk, jog, bike, swim, jump rope) EVERY SINGLE DAY. Do situps as well, so you will have more defined abs after the fat comes off.
IT takes a while tho, probably 4 weeks at least to see results, and thats if you follow the above instructions perfectly every day.

run a lot thats the best way 5 miles a day if u want to loose it fast and if u can make the miless in under 7 minutes even better

try a body shaper, or a girdle to make you look instantly slimmer, this is the most logical approach to have a flatter stomach on such short notice, but avoiding sugar and carbs is a good idea because they make you bloat.

Go to Macy's & buy a pair of Spanx. They're a Godsend..I kid you not. They aren't uncomfortable to wear at all & they hold you in like nothing else.

sit ups, crunches, AND take multi-vitamins. when your body feels like it is not getting enough nutrition, it stores what it can first in your belly. take vitamins.
