You have the setting in your particular copy of Word set to the background as blue.

In the Word Progrom go to Format, Background and set to the color you wish or NO FILL. Then your documents will be white background. If you can't find "Background" go to the little down arrow at the bottom of the Format menu. It will show up when you click on that.

I doubt that top one is it, and that will change your whole computer's settings, so try this first. Just check to see if you accidentaly changed the background color to blue.
Format>Background>No Fill.
