I wake up at 6 AM, go to school, eat lunch (try to get enough protein in the food) come home, drink a 23g protein shake (whey) with water and eat an apple 30 minutees before I go to work out. On MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, and FRIDAYS, I will strength train for about 45-60 minutes. Then on TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS, I will NOT drink a protein shake, but I will run for 20-30 minutes.

Now, is this a good idea to both work on building muscle (strength training 3x a week and drinking protein) and losing fat on Tuesdays and Thursdays by running??

Or instead of working out 5 days a week, I do cardio AND strength 3x a week? If so, which one first? and Why?

I don't have a lifting schedule...I like to keep my body confused ^_^

But, should I run before or after I lift?

Or, should I just run on a totally different day than lifting??

Weight train 2x a week, or break up large muscle groups 2x a week (legs 2x, arms 2x) except for sit ups which you should do every day. Run 3x a week. Increase length of time/amount of weight/distance every week by 10%. Exercise only lightly every four weeks to allow your body some rest and then start over again! Plus your body needs more than just protein... it does build muscle but make sure your getting enough of the other stuff too ... you know fiber and carbs.

had the SAME problem...nature DOES take its course but thre real answer to this for me is this...."WALKING"...and a LOT of it....i walked 3 to 5 hours a day and they disappeared. it sounds like a lot, but walking is so good for you....while walking, I lost 37 lbs in 6 weeks....of course i modified my dietary regimen....NO carbs except in the morning.....like ONE muffin...but use tofu as well...with soy sauce, you can have twice the weuight as any other protein and it does NOT make yu gain weight...use FIRM tofu and actually with bottled teruiyaki sauce, you can make what tastes like a great dish..land twice the amount of it as you would have itf you were to use filet mignon...!!!! Also, if yo uasdd horse radish to it, you can make a cottage salad and it is delicious!!!! I am not a vegetarian,, but tofu, the firm stuff. is amazing!!! So walk, use fresh and steamed veggies and try to use PAM instead of any other thing to stirfry...NO rice now. Only Protiens, no white oniions, use green scallions and know that if yu keep your protiein in halves of let's say 9 ounces per day ...but remember that three meals a day is paramount...This is the way that i did it and the weight poured off me, Including love handlws...what i loved was that each day i looked better and it blew not only MY mind, but people around me saw me turn into how i use to look when I had just gotten married.....well? it is now all up to you and I wish yo uthe best!!!!

Well, if you can tell me your lifting schedule that could help me out, but i would recommend drinking the protein shake after working out for your hungry muscles.

Yes, it is great that you are running, so when you bulk you don't gain fat. I recommend you eat a breakfast and a dinner (You didn't mention it). Your body is going to be a machine and it's going to need fuel.
