Best way to deal with it? Ask your girlfriend.

Obviously, don't ask her while she's PMSing but rather, ask her when she is her usual self. Trust me, girls know they're not normal during that time of month and sadly, there isn't much they can do about it. However, most girls also know the best way for others to deal with it.

For example, I'd prefer it that people left me alone unless I make the first move. And if I do make contact, ignore all bitchiness/excessive eating/random crying. For me, that's the best way not to blow things out of proportion.

And have faith! Even thought it may not seem like it to you, not all girls PMS. The ones that do don't necessarily PMS every month. The ones that do PMS every month do not necessarily have it as bad every single time. It is very rare to have extreme PMS every single month. :)

Have you talked to her about it? Although womens moods do fluctuate when their hormones are going crazy during that time of the month, that's no ecuse to be ugly to others or disrespectful. Let her know you don't find her pleasant to be around when she's like that and have even wondered if it would be better if you broke up, since she seems to spend nearly half the month behaving that way.

When she acts ugly toward you, call her on it. Tell her you understand she gets moody when she's on her period but that's no reason to Make sure she knows you aren't going to just take it and that she can't use being a woman or PMS as an excuse to be a biotch.

Okay, first off, a week and a half isn't normal. Understand that she is feeling awful during that week. I know I am not a male, but you need to understand this side of it too. She is having NO fun during that week. Be senstive to her. She will appreciate it. Cramps are the worst thing. Offer a back rub once in a while. She's in pain and really does feel awful during that time.

I know you have to "deal" with it, but she is dealing with a whole lot more.

A menstrual cycle can be like getting kicked in the balls, which would put you in a bad mood too. Give her some amnesty, but seriously, she needs to look into some pain meds for the cramps. A hormonal hurricane is going on inside which only her OBGYN can help. Suggest she goes to the doc for assistance to make her period less traumatic on the both of you.

Let me explain something to you about your girlfriend. I can tell you that she is having a really bad hormonal disbalance. This is what happened to me and the doctor put me on some medication to get over it. I have been taking the medicine for over a month and I started seeing a difference. If you would only know how bad is the pain that she has to suffer every single month, you would be feeling sorry for her. For now what you can do is take her to the doctor and try to be extra-sweet when she is having her period...or just get you a girlfriend who doesn't have have hormonal disbalance. Good luck!

If you love her then putting up with a week of PMS and her period is a small sacrifice to make. Guys don't understand how horrible that time of the month can be. We don't want to feel that way. If you are willing to end a relationship because of this then you aren't really all that committed.

Okay, listen...even though women have hormonal fluctuations that impact our demeanor, we are still in control over the manner in which we behave. She is using her menstrual cycle as an excuse to be bitchy. She's not the first to have a cycle and news flash, she won't be the last. The world can't stop revolving just because she's having some bloating and cramping. It's not a disease....she needs to get over it! You have to decide how long you'll continue to tolerate this mistreatment.

Woman go through alot of hormonal changes when they are on it.Try to be patient with her.You men should go through half of what woman go through and maybe you would understand.Maybe you shouldn't be around her as much when she has it.Try being patient, what are you going to do when you get married, woman go through emotional changes when they are pregnant as well.Try letting her know you understand it's that time of the month for her and you won't hold it against her.You know what kind of person she normally is,so I don't think a couple of days of understanding is going to kill you.The more understanding you show, the better she may act under the circumstances.
