I broke up with my ex almost a year ago, but still have feelings for him. He goes to a different high school than I do, and I've only seen him three times since we've broken up. I know nothing of his new life, other than he probably has a new girlfriend. If accepted, I may be transferring to the school he goes to (for academic reasons, of course).

Just recently, I met a guy (a junior at my school), and equally out of reach simply because we share only one class together. He appears friendly enough, and smiles an awful lot. If he isn't smart, I'm sure he's at least academically motivated, because he stays a bit to chat with the teacher. My ex leans more to the dark side (haha :/), and it's amazing how different the two are.

I have had way too much time to get over my ex, but can't. Is liking the new guy a sign that I'm beginning to heal? Should I attempt to get to know the new guy even though he's two years older? Or should I forget both of them, as I'm only beginning to get over my e

Go for the new guy. The best way to get over someone is to meet someone new. Who knows this guy could be worth it too.

i would say that your showing signs of getting over ur x i wouldnt advise getting serious with this other guy just yet but your heading in the right direction. Remember time heals all wounds
