the first one is time, the third one is you turn them both over at the same time and start cooking the egg whent he 2 minutes is up (leaving 3 on the 5 minute timer)...
I could count the second one but I"m going to guess 11... one for every hour... except the noon hour when they won't cross.

Run the 2 minute and 5 minute simultaneously and then when 2 is over, drop egg in water. But water should have been boiling from the start otherwise it will not boil for 3 minutes and won't cook and so you'll have a bad breakfast, go to work pissed, tell your boss off, get scolded and the get fired. So now you have bad eggs and no job. So, boil the water first for goodness sake!!!!

I'm not sure about the first one.
The hour and minute hands cross 12 times.
Turn both hourglasses upside down.When the 2-minute timer runs out, it means that there is 3 minutes left on the 5 minute hourglass.
