I have two friends that are always trying to help me get a girlfriend. The problem I have with this is my friends are social morons. But they do not seem to relize it. Whenever I go out somewhere and I start talking to someone they come over and jump right in the conversation and basically start doing all of the talking for me like its their buisness and totally blow the whole thing. I have told them a thousand times that I do not like it when they get involved. But they reply they are just trying to help me out. I'd get new friends but I've been friends with them since high school and I don't have the heart to ditch them. I just want them to understand they should just leave me alone when it comes to dating. Anyone have any helpful solutions?

Oh, I do feel your pain. I know they THINK they're helping, but if you did have an interest in someone...their interference could ruin it.

Try making them feel guilty. Tell them they must not think much of you, if they think they have to help you get a date. Ask them if they think you're so pathetic that you can't manage to do this without them. You could word it differently though...like..."Do you guys really think I'm such a loser that I can't do this on my own?"

You're in a tough situation. My friend would try to set me up with guys SHE wouldn't touch with a 10 ft. pole! Good luck~

Yikes gotta love your friends! Try going out with-out them sometimes not always but take a few nights for yourself. Maybe they are trying to help but you sound confident enough to do it yourself. Do they have girlfriends? Maybe they are afraid of losing your friendship to a woman, some guys are like that. Try a little distance but dont ignore your friends someday you wll wish you had them.

maybe you should give them a taste of their own medicine. if their talking to someone jump in and do the talking for them. if they realize that it's annoying, they'll stop. and if they get really mad at you then maybe they won't want to be friends with you anymore. any way i hope this helps and if not i hope you can find a solution
