It shouldn't be a problem, unless of course any medicine you are currently on strictly says "do not mix with alcohol", bc then there could be some odd reactions.

Other than that, you should be fine. Especially by this weekend, you'll have recovered more from this bout of the flu.

I do all the time...i refuse to let anyone, including a virus stop me from drinking. I don't think it can be any worse, since even when i have the flu, school doesn't let me sleep more than 4 hours a night.

Should be no problem since you are already feeling better.

I usually still drink if its in the height of sickness.....ends up i stay sick for 2-3 weeks. Umm.....the meds you are on might make you feel sick anyways, so don't take them before you drink.

Rather get better slower than puke and get kicked out of a bar.

Ask your doctor. He'll probably be less forgiving than I would, so...

You're going to be stressed due to your illness anyways. If you insist, drink a glass of water between alcoholic drinks. If you drink more than 3 alcoholic drinks, you're probably going to be dehydrated anyways. Have some Gatorade on hand for the night and the following morning.

And if you're taking over the counter fever reducers at high doses for the flu, you're going to be screwing yourself and your liver over, so keep that in mind.

In general, alcohol weakens your immune system. But since you have already been sick and seem to be recovered, you should be safe by this weekend.

When you are sick, your immune system is surpressed and alcohol will hit you harder.Getting drunk when your sick is crazy, the next day you will regret it. Your head will be one large knot.

Take my advice, and don't drink any alcohol yet. Your resistance is still way down, and you will get drunk a lot quicker.
