The age difference is not that bad. You're both of legal age and if you're in love, what does it matter that he's older? Many blessings.

You're funny. :)

You can't believe that "He is 4 years older and he WILL be 30 when you are 26?" You obviously haven't turned 26 yet or anytime soon. I'm guessing you're in your teens, and the thought of turning 30 is just inconceivable. 30 is so old and far away. It is indeed fair to ask how would a young, fresh, 26-year young woman look like walking with a guy who has hit the big 3-0 and obviously looks wrinkled, old, and probably bald as well. I'm being sarcastic, OK? 30-year old guys look more than fine, believe it or not.

The thing with age gap is as you mature, the gap lessens. If you're a 12 year-old going out with a 16 year-old, the four-year gap is a huge gap in terms of compatibility. 26-year old and 30-year old? Nah...ah.. Not so big of a difference there. Focus on the present. How old are you and him right now? That's what you gotta think about, not how in x years you and him will be x-year old.

If you're currently worried about him getting to the age of 30, I'd worry what you would be worrying about when you get to the age of 30. What about when you guys hit middle age, or god forbid, the 70s? Be thankful you're not dating someone in the 30s or 40s RIGHT now. Now that's when I'll be saying that he is too old.

I'm sorry if you think I'm being overtly mocking, I just find the question very funny and nostalgic because I used to think about the same things.

Well my husband is 28 and I'm 24 (I won't be 25 until at least 1/2 a year) and honestly, like Aaliyah said "Age ain't nuttin' but a number" especially not after 21 years of age. You should know what you want and don't want. Who's treating you well and has your heart, and all the others who don't matter. If you really care about your boyfriend, and he treats you well and you both mesh well together, what's the big deal? Now it's different if the age gap was somewhere in the 'before-18-years-of -age' type of thing. Because if he was 18 and you were 14, that's way different. But everyone is an adult after 21, especially 25! Also, don't know if this is in the picture yet, but if you love him, age shouldn't matter, only the relationship that you both have together.
If it's a good relationship, don't let something minor like age get in the way of that!

I doubt it. Remember that, in medieval times, fourteen-year old girls would end up marrying sixty-year old men and having children! Times have changed a lot, but this doesn't mean that you and your boyfriend have to be within three months of each other's age in order to be happy. If you love each other, an age gap of four years really won't mean that much, especially as you get older. :)

However, you haven't mentioned how old you are now. If you're fourteen and he's eighteen, then I would definitely say that he's too old for you. If you're 25 and he's 29, don't sweat it. :) Heck, my parents are ten years apart and have been happily married for many, many years!

Best wishes and good luck!

No, he's not too old for you. I'm 6 years older than my wife...and it's no problem at all. Don't stress out over age......it's not that important.

Since your both consenting adults, the age difference means nothing. Just relax and enjoy your man.
