They come and harass family members hoping to be attacked so they can sue for insurance money the family receives. I heard about this today on the radio!!! I should not be shocked; but I am. There are some unbelievably scummy people on this planet. There is a group who goes out to the funerals and creates a circle around the family to protect them from these people. Check out the web site. A lot of the members ride motorcycles but you do not have to ride to be a member.

I only went to a military funeral in October. it rather is a minimum of, sobering. The gentleman served 2-3 excursions in Nam and had earned the purple heart alongside with many different military awards throughout his 30 year occupation. I stay interior of an hour of a military base so I attend those funerals extra in lots of instances than the civilian inhabitants. All of our friends are retired military. while they present day the family individuals with the flag, the spent bullets are enclosed with the flag.

i have not heard of it . i do know a clergyman in canada may order the arrest of any person that interupts a relious sevice.
this almost never happens but it is very much agaist the law to disrupt any religous service unless the service is satanic.or is in some way being held as a shame not a real religous service that however never happens either.
i would suggest that the military hire at least one civialin police officer to attend to such matters .
i would not be likely to say no to taking the bad people off someplace and beating them or whipping them within an inch of there lives and i mean that . whip them until they are very nearly dead. that sure will stop them

Yes, I've heard of this. I think they should be shot. They are miserable human beings to do that to anyone, military or otherwise. Although I can't agree with "politically wrong" that these people are necessarily liberals. Where did that come from???

Unfortunately you have George W Bushs' political and military advisors to thank for that.
Had they been truthful about the reason to go BACK into Iraq - ie
QUOTE
"Saddam's breach of United Nations resolutions
In November 2002, the UN declared that it would no longer tolerate the Iraqi regime's continuing defiance of international law. UN Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1441 was unanimously adopted, declaring Iraq to be in material breach of previous resolutions, and setting out new procedures for the conduct of inspections, together with the threat of serious consequences in the event of Iraqi non-cooperation. The resolution provided a final opportunity for Iraq to comply with its disarmament obligations and UNMOVIC (United Nations Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission) inspectors were eventually allowed back later that month. Subsequent reports by UNMOVIC and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) showed clearly, however, that not only was Iraq failing to offer active co-operation but it was engaged in a systematic pattern of concealment and deceit.
In view of the Iraqi regime's failure to comply with the will of the United Nations, and based on the authority provided by a series of UN resolutions since 1991, the UK joined a US-led coalition that was prepared to use force as a last resort to secure Iraqi compliance. The Government's overriding political objective was to disarm Saddam of his weapons of mass destruction, which threatened his neighbours and his people. It also undertook to support the Iraqi people in their desire for peace, prosperity, freedom and good government." UNQUOTE http://www.mod.uk/DefenceInternet/FactSheets/OperationsFactsheets/OperationsInIraqBackgroundBriefing.htm
Instead, George W Bush came out on National tv and spouted off about WMD.... which has been proven to be untrue, as well as went against all international Rule of Law and advice.
THAT is why people are so angry today
It COULD be said that a grenade is a weapon of mass destruction in that it can kill more than one or two people at any one time. Therefore, on that premise, does that mean that USA will invade ANY country it likes, and tell the world it is doing it because that country has WMD?
People are sick of seeing so many body bags being returned with loved ones - youngsters of 18 years old, that thier frustrations boil over in the most inappropriate of places and events - namely the funeral of a service person who went without question on the order of his/her Commander-in-Chief to do a job and returned home in a bodybag.
You want to blame someone - don't waste your time on the President - HE was only OBEYING HIS ORDERS from the REAL rulers of your country - ie the media moguls and the hiddens mandarins behind closed doors holding the purse strings.
Simple as.

Funeral hecklers? Should they still even have civil rights? I can't quite see how they might win a lawsuit this way.
