Its actually sometimes happen that ducks feet get frozen in water

They can freeze, however, on very cold days the ducks won't walk very far before they stop, lay on the ground and pull up their feet against their bodies to keep them warm. I can always tell how cold it is by looking at what my ducks are doing in the morning. No walking means it's cold! :-)
Now, the reason they can walk around without having their legs get chilled and causing their whole bodies to become cold is that their veins and arteries are right next to each other as they are going to the legs. The heat from the arterial blood warms the blood coming back in the veins from the legs so the heat in the blood going to the legs is actually transferred somewhat to the blood coming back in to the body from the legs. Pretty neat adaptation.

The ducks have no nerve ending in thier feet so they can not feel if it is hot or cold.... also.. just a note.. a ducks quack will not echo either.... just a extra fact...
