About half of my two front teeth are a few shades whiter than the rest of my teeth. I have had this before, but it went away. This is the worst it's been. I've read a bunch of other answers on white marks.. but they all say that it doesn't go away. Mine did before, so what else could it be?

I have heard it is from a lack of fluoride... try increasing your fluoride.

Half of your two front teeth? If the lower half of a tooth is whiter than the top half by the gum, I'm thinking that you had your mouth open for a little while and your tooth dried out. Once the saliva coats it thoroughly again, it goes back to normal. Sometimes it takes a couple of hours. I'm not sure if that's what you meant, but if your mouth hangs open a lot, that's what happens.

It is called fluorosis. It is caused by regular ingestion of small amounts of fluoride. It usually occurs in early childhood as most small children swallow the toothpaste instead of spitting it out. And it affects the permanent teeth as they are growing causing them to have whiter spots than the rest of the teeth. I have a few of them myself. And bleaching usually doesn't help because it seems to make the white spots look whiter.
