He is jealous. He knows you take his master's affection and attention away from him. Your mom needs to let him know you are dominate in the order of relationships. You and she need to stand together and you both need to speak strongly.

Well depends on what kind of dog it is, and how old it is..
We had a Pit not too long ago, and he got huge really fast by the time he was 5 months he weighed at least 70 something odd pounds, and I don't think he realized he was this big, because everytime I came home he'd meet me at the door, and automatically jump onto me, practically knocking me over, and he would scratch me with his long sharp claws, and lick my face, and nibble too..
I loved him, so I never spanked him, and he continued to do this..
He never did stop jumping on people, or biting, he was very playful, and he didn't know he was hurting people..
Your mom's dog might just be really playful, and it seems like he hates you..
Or it really does hate you, maybe you've accidentally or purposely hurt it in the past and it still remembers it, and continues to pay your back for doing so..
I'm not calling you an animal abuser, just saying that anything is a possibility..

There could be no compromise while it includes aggressive canines and young toddlers. toddlers could come first and in the event that they do no longer, then CPS could take them removed from such neglectful father and mom. Ask your husband it rather is extra substantial to him? His 8 year previous or his canine? if that's the canine, take the toddlers and flow away him. document for divorce and ask for finished custody, with supervised visitation basically for him as he would not understand how risky canines could be with toddlers. If he says his baby, ask him how he will experience if he supplies that canine a 2d risk and it heavily bites your baby, ultimate to everlasting maiming or maybe dying? you're able to additionally clarify that if the baby is heavily injured, CPS gets entangled and if it is going to become time-commemorated which you knew the canine became a danger and did no longer something, you will probable lose custody of your baby(ren). i won't be able to tell you why your canine is doing this. All i can inform you is that your canine IS an instantaneous danger on your loved ones. If I have been the canine proprietor, i might only take him to the pound and tell them what happened, asking that the two they sent it to a place that rehabilitates canines or that they positioned it down. a baby is a effective subject and in the adventure that your husband won't be able to place your baby only before the canine, get rid of him too. Take care.

Sounds like your dog has issues and needs to go bye bye before he really injures you. It's normal for dogs to want to jump up on you because that is their way of greeting you. However, biting and scratching is agressive behavior that sounds concerning. Try a golden retriever they are wonderful family dogs.

Presumably you've never beaten it or otherwise mistreated it.
Dogs are just like people...they can instantly despise or love you for no reason at all. Alternatively, he might see you as a rival for your mother's affection.

IT COULD BE THIS DOG FEELS YOUR VUNERABILITY. THEY CAN SENSE IT IMMEDIATELY! IF HE IS YOUNG THEY ACT SILLY SOMETIMES, YOU HAVE TO BE THE DOMINATOR-BUT IN A SOLID AND GENTLE BUT STERN WAY. IT TAKES A LITTLE TIME, IF YOU REALLY WANT TO TRY THIS. LET HIM KNOW YOU ARE FIRM BUT NOT MEAN. GIVE HIM COMMANDS BUT TALK TO HIM FIRM NOT MEAN. TAKES PATIENCE. ALOT IF YOU FEEL IT'S WORTH IT TO YOU. REMEMBER- HE DOESN'T HATE YOU UNLESS YOU HURT HIM. ALSO REMEMBER ONE IMPORTANT THING- LET HIM THINK YOU CAME TO SEE HIM FIRST- IT MAY WORK, IF NOT THEN MOM NEEDS TO SEND HIM TO DOGGY SCHOOL. HE'S WORTH IT. THEY'RE WONDERFUL ONCE YOU GAIN THEIR TRUST.
