You can create your own fast. Remember that a fast is abstaining from certain foods for a certain period of time and relying on God's strength to get you through. If you are fasting for religious purpose, which should be the only reason you do fast, then you should first try the Daniel fast. Daniel fasted for 21 days and ate only vegetables (raw and cooked...you should cook it not from a restuarant) and drank water.

It's really up to you. Jello (with artificial sweetener) is a common filler.

I hope you are not trying to lose weight by fasting. There is a paradoxical effect of weight GAIN after fasting because the body increases fat storage in the event of another episode of starvation.

well if you are wonder about tomorrow (ash wednesday) then to fast for the church means only having one full meal for the whole day. which means u get to choose. breakfast lunch or dinner. this is the only full meal you will have all day. but i u have to then you can have a little snack to hold u over till dinner or something but obtain from any food possible if u really cant take it then have a small snack but that only means like a hand fu of chips or something.

if u r talking about ash wednesday then this does not apply to u if u r under the age of 14.

Good Luck......

Doesn't "Fasting" mean eating only "Fast food?" I hope so, or I'm going to have to slow down!

by definition no. But people do different kinda of fasts. My boss gave up sugar for his church and they called that a fast.

I've had friends that have gone on juice fasts where they ate nothing, but still got all their calories from juice. I hope that helps
