Theres this guy who used to like me for about a year, but I just wanted to be friends. Now this year I realized what a great guy he was and started to like him as well..alot, while he still liked me. We hooked up a few times, and hung out lots. On the weekend I told him how I felt and he told me that he likes me, but he doesn't want to have a girlfriend in highschool, because he's the worst boyfriend ever, and doesn't want to hurt me because of that, so he wants to wait until he's done highschool to have a relationship. Was he just saying he liked me out of pity and trying to be nice, or does he actually still? I'm 17, and he's 19.

He also told his friends last year that if he were to be with me he would stop smoking and all that stuff I wasnt into. Oh! one more thing.. this weekend he also said "I find your one of the easiest people to talk to, and I love hanging out with you" ..if thats any more help

it is very important to focus on school and he can see that. most guys when stressed become a bit of a tight a#s and are not like normal. give him the space he needs and try and be as supportive as possible. he must be close to finishing school and wants the best results! i think he still likes you and you should give him the chance to prove it... good luck babe

Sounds like he is more interested in the sex, and also wants to keep his options open in case he comes across someone else to hang with. He can claim freedom and innocence, and pretend he isn't hurting you because he didn't want a relationship.
Option 2- being older, he doesn't want to look bad to his friends for having a high school girlfriend. Means he is not really proud of you.
Option 3- Sweetheart, you are still jail bait until you hit 18. No offense.
In any case, it is not likely because he is honorable or noble.

If he says he's a bad bf, I'd believe him. Why would he lie about that? For whatever reason, he doesn't want to be with you. Maybe he isn't telling you what the reason(s) is/are, but maybe you don't want to know. So, if he doesn't want to be your bf, the first thing you do is cut off the flow of free booty you're giving him. Then you can be just friends, and if things work out to be more later, great. Or, if he stops talking to you when you won't sleep with him, you'll know what a pig he really is.

Does it matter what the reason is? I'm only saying that cause I don't want you to waste your time trying to "figure him out" like a lot of my friends do. I always take a no..as no..period. Maya Angelou once said if someone tells you who they are and what they're like believe them..even if you think they're lying. I agree, cause it's what he either wants to be, realizes he is, or is trying to be (projecting that image). IF he says he's a jerk..believe him..you don't want to find out he's right the hard way. Take it was a warning and run.

I'd ask him how he knows that he's the worst boyfriend ever if he's only 19. If he doesn't want to hurt you, tell him that he'd be doing even worse if he didn't at least try. But use some sugar when you tell him this; don't demand it from him. Just try to use some sense, and see if he gets it.

I'm sorry to say it, but it sounds like he's trying to blow you off. Maybe he is at a point in his life that he just wants his freedom, or maybe there is someone else, but that is what I am getting out of it. Don't get too attached.

I do believe that he still likes u or why else would he have told that he a very bad boyfriend. He won't have told u that unless he didn't won't to hurt u.
