Basically, you can't.
Men are always thinking about their next sexual conquest so if you come to him asking about a date, he's gonna get the wrong message.
If he's interested in you, you should let him make the first move.
If you don't mind being the aggressor, just go to him, ask him what he's doing on said night - and simply tell him...I'd like you to take me out.
Of course in the back of his mind he may take that as a sign that your desperate ---or better yet "hot for it".

Some guys are scared of pushy girls. Just be yourself and don't worry. If a guy don't like you, move on to the next guy, besides you can't win them all...
