I'd like members of different religious groups to answer this question, please.

What does your religion say about murder?

I don't need to know about Christianity since it's the most popular religion where I live, but I'm curious as to what all the other religions think of killing another human being.

Murder out of revenge or any other exucse is Haram (prohibited) in Islam. So basically your hell bound unless the family of the victim pardons & forgives you in Islamic court under shari'ah. Of course record is still tarnished and community looks down on you but thats a cultural thing so there ya go. = )

This is what Islam says about murder.

Grossness of Murder

[5:32] Because of this, we decreed for the Children of Israel that anyone who murders any person who had not committed murder or horrendous crimes, it shall be as if he murdered all the people. And anyone who spares a life, it shall be as if he spared the lives of all the people. Our messengers went to them with clear proofs and revelations, but most of them, after all this, are still transgressing

The Holy Quran.

Ahimsä means not arresting the progressive life of any living entity. No just human, any animal. That is the law of nature, is not question of religion. Kill for sense enjoyment is punishable by the law of nature. Result: wars, famine, earthquake, pestilence, tsunamis, poverty, etc.

Wicca's only universal "commandment" is the Wiccan Rede: "If you harm none, do what you will."

Obviously murder contravenes that in the worst way. Therefore I think it's safe to say that Wiccans oppose murder for many different reasons.

(Aside from the Sociology 101 reason, that is -- that murder destabilizes the society in which it occurs.)

The muslim god is a moon god, and has 3 daughters, the Christian & Jewish God is Jesus (Jews do no longer understand this yet, yet will presently after "they seem upon Him Whom they pierced.")he's the only Begotten of the father. This elininates allah, simply by fact he has 3 daughters. he isn't comparable to God. actually, the cults, have diverse doctrines of Jesus, for this reason they have a diverse Jesus from the actual Believers. they have depended on in a jesus that isn't be in a position to maintain them.
